CloseCraft vs CoachCraft
Two approaches to helping salespeople practice, improve, and develop over time.
CloseCraft and CoachCraft overlap more than either product does with most sales technology. Both focus on individual salesperson development, both use AI sales coaching, both include AI role-play practice, structured learning, skill tracking, gamification, and team training. CoachCraft is not a basic role-play tool — it is a capable, well-rounded practice-and-coaching system.
CloseCraft remains positioned as an Adaptive Sales Performance Platform™ — a development system centered on the salesperson's growth over time, in which practice, coaching, accumulated evidence, adaptation, and demonstrated performance form one continuous loop.
Both platforms use AI coaching and role-play. How those experiences connect to development over time is where they differ.

2Practice Experience
CoachCraft's practice is voice-first and mobile-first: voice-to-voice AI role-plays across cold call, discovery, demo, and closing situations, with industry-specific scenarios and structured Playbooks that organize learning into pathways. Sessions end in a graded review.
CloseCraft's practice is built around Daily Drills — focused, scenario-based exercises available in Express and Full depth — plus the Pressure Room™ for simulated live performance. Buyer Voice Lite gives drills a spoken dimension by speaking the buyer's statement aloud.
3Voice Role-Play
This is a genuine current difference, and it should be stated plainly. CoachCraft publicly offers full voice-to-voice AI role-play: the salesperson speaks, and the AI buyer speaks back, conversationally. CloseCraft does not currently offer that.
CloseCraft's Buyer Voice Lite means the buyer statement in a drill can be spoken aloud — the salesperson hears the buyer's objection or opening as audio. It is not full duplex conversational voice role-play. CloseCraft's spoken simulation experience lives in the Pressure Room™ text-based Face the Buyer conversation instead.
4Coaching and Feedback
CoachCraft coaches through several channels: a 24/7 AI Mentor chat, post-session A–F grading, transcript analysis, and specific coaching feedback on practice sessions.
CloseCraft's coaching is objective-aware: each drill is built around a defined sales objective, and the coaching evaluates whether the response actually advanced the conversation toward that objective. Apply Coaching then shows how to put the coaching into the next response.
5Adaptive Development
CloseCraft's center of gravity is the salesperson's development over time. CloseCraft DNA™ builds a picture of how the salesperson performs; Persistent Coaching Intelligence™ accumulates coaching memory across drills; Sales Trajectory™ and Sales Identity Evolution™ track where the person is heading; and Your Next Best Action™ turns accumulated evidence into a concrete recommendation for what to practice next. Repeated performance evidence feeds all of these, and that evidence influences what the salesperson practices next.
CoachCraft publicly describes skill tracking through its six-skill Skills Radar and structured Playbooks. A longitudinal adaptive-development system of CloseCraft's kind is not part of CoachCraft's publicly described core.
6Skill and Progress Tracking
CoachCraft tracks progress through a six-skill Skills Radar, giving salespeople a compact picture of where they stand across core selling skills, reinforced by XP and streaks.
CloseCraft tracks skill competencies across drill tracks over time, and connects them into CloseCraft DNA™, Sales Trajectory™, and Sales Identity Evolution™ — longitudinal views built from accumulated performance evidence rather than a single fixed skill wheel.
7Preparing for Upcoming Sales Conversations
CloseCraft can use read-only Google Calendar context to inform what to practice and prepare next: when a specific selling conversation is coming up, recommendations can reflect that meeting alongside the salesperson's existing development evidence.
CoachCraft does not publicly describe equivalent calendar-aware preparation. Its preparation model centers on practicing relevant scenarios ahead of time through role-play.
8Pressure Testing
CloseCraft's Pressure Room™ is an Adaptive Sales Simulation designed as performance validation: a timed Face the Buyer conversation that tests whether learning holds when the salesperson faces a pressured buyer. Pressure Room performance also feeds CloseCraft's certification exams.
CoachCraft's role-plays provide realistic practice pressure, but a distinct pressure-testing and performance-validation mode of this kind is not part of its publicly described product.
9Certification
CloseCraft offers completed CloseCraft Certified™ skill certifications — each earned through a knowledge exam plus a Pressure Room™ performance exam — and a completed Sales Professional capstone that integrates multiple skills into one demonstrated performance. These certify demonstrated capability, not course completion.
CoachCraft's progression is expressed through XP, badges, streaks, and structured learning-path completion. That is skill progression; it is not the same thing as a performance certification earned through proctored demonstration, and the two should not be equated.
10Team / Company Training
For teams, CloseCraft supports company playbook content, AI-generated company lessons, assignments, and Development Paths. Company Skill Validations let a company validate that a salesperson can demonstrate its own selling standard in the Pressure Room™, and Team Performance gives managers visibility into development.
CoachCraft supports teams with custom scenarios built from company scripts, objections, and buyer personas; a Manager Dashboard with practice-frequency and performance visibility; custom learning paths; and team leaderboards. Its integration surface for teams is mature: Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and Chorus integrations, plus SSO/SAML and role-based enterprise controls.
11Gamification
CoachCraft publicly emphasizes gamification: XP, levels, streaks, badges, and leaderboards, in both individual and team plans.
CloseCraft uses progress, streaks, performance development, challenges, and certification as its motivational structure. It does not currently offer an equivalent team-leaderboard or badge-collecting system, and this page will not claim otherwise.
12Who Each Approach May Fit
CoachCraft may fit salespeople or teams looking for:
- full voice-to-voice role-play today
- highly gamified practice
- structured predefined learning journeys
- mobile-first role-play
- team leaderboards
- mature CRM and call-intelligence integrations
CloseCraft may fit salespeople or teams looking for:
- persistent longitudinal development
- adaptive recommendations about what to practice next
- objective-aware coaching
- upcoming-conversation preparation
- pressure testing
- demonstrated competency certification
- individual development that can extend into company-specific learning
Neither approach is universally better. The right choice depends on whether the primary need is a strong practice-and-coaching experience, or a continuous development system built around accumulated performance evidence.
The Key Difference
The distinction is not whether either platform uses AI coaching or role-play. Both do. The difference is how those experiences connect to the salesperson's development over time.
CoachCraft provides a strong practice-and-coaching system with voice role-play, structured learning paths, skill tracking, and gamification. CloseCraft connects practice to a persistent salesperson-development model:
Practice → coaching → accumulated evidence → CloseCraft DNA™ · Persistent Coaching Intelligence™ · Sales Trajectory™ · Sales Identity Evolution™ · Your Next Best Action™ → what you practice next
That evidence can influence what the salesperson practices next. Google Calendar context can also inform preparation for upcoming selling conversations. Pressure Room™ then tests whether improvement holds under greater conversational pressure. CloseCraft Certified™ validates demonstrated capability.
