CloseCraft vs Kendo AI
Two approaches to connecting sales practice with better performance.
Kendo AI and CloseCraft overlap meaningfully. Both offer AI role-play practice for salespeople, both provide AI coaching and scoring, and both serve teams as well as individuals. Kendo AI is not a narrow role-play tool — it publicly positions itself as an end-to-end sales enablement platform that combines AI roleplay, call analysis and scoring, coaching, analytics, team management, and integrations.
CloseCraft is an Adaptive Sales Performance Platform™ centered on the salesperson's development over time, in which practice, coaching, accumulated evidence, preparation, pressure testing, and demonstrated certification form one continuous loop.
Both platforms use performance evidence to improve future development. The evidence they currently collect is where they differ.

2Practice and Roleplay
Kendo AI's practice centers on AI roleplay agents: voice and text roleplay with customizable prospects and scenarios, covering discovery, demos, objections, closing, and other call types. Sessions end in automated scoring and feedback, with full conversation transcripts and custom scorecards.
CloseCraft's practice is built around Daily Drills — focused, scenario-based exercises available in Express and Full depth — plus the Pressure Room™ for simulated live performance. Buyer Voice Lite gives drills a spoken dimension: the buyer's statement can be spoken aloud. It is not full conversational voice roleplay, and this page will not claim otherwise.
3Coaching and Feedback
Kendo AI coaches through automated roleplay scoring and feedback, full conversation transcripts, custom scorecards, and coaching recommendations based on call data — including findings from real customer conversations. Its AI Sales Coach and AI Sales Manager provide ongoing coaching and review support.
CloseCraft's coaching is objective-aware: each drill is built around a defined sales objective, and the coaching evaluates whether the response actually advanced the conversation toward that objective. Apply Coaching then shows how to put the coaching into the next response.
4Adaptive Development
Kendo AI publicly connects call-analysis findings and performance gaps to coaching and targeted training: practice is tailored based on areas needing improvement, informed by evidence from real conversations. That is genuine adaptation, and this comparison does not claim otherwise.
CloseCraft builds a persistent longitudinal model of the salesperson across repeated CloseCraft interactions: CloseCraft DNA™ for how the person currently sells, Persistent Coaching Intelligence™ for accumulated coaching memory, Sales Trajectory™ and Sales Identity Evolution™ for where the person is heading, and Your Next Best Action™ for what to practice next.
The two systems use different evidence models and different development experiences. Kendo AI adapts development toward evidence from live customer calls. CloseCraft adapts development toward a longitudinal model built inside the platform across practice, coaching, preparation, pressure testing, and demonstrated certification.
5Real-Call Evidence
This is a genuine current difference, and it should be stated plainly. Kendo AI can analyze and score real sales calls, provide call transcription and summaries, and compare live-call performance with training performance — connecting what happens in practice with what happens in actual customer conversations.
CloseCraft does not currently ingest or analyze real customer calls. CloseCraft's evidence comes from practice inside the platform: drills, Pressure Room™ sessions, coaching interactions, and certification exams. If real-call analysis is a hard requirement for your team today, that is a reason to evaluate Kendo AI.
6Performance Intelligence
Kendo AI provides individual and team analytics, with the distinctive ability to compare training scores with live-call scores — a bridge between practice performance and real-world performance that CloseCraft does not currently offer.
CloseCraft's performance intelligence is longitudinal by design: Sales Trajectory™ shows where performance is heading, Sales Identity Evolution™ shows how the salesperson has changed over time, and Team Performance gives managers visibility into development. It is built from accumulated practice evidence rather than live-call data.
7Preparing for Upcoming Conversations
CloseCraft can use read-only Google Calendar context to inform what to practice and prepare next: when a specific selling conversation is coming up, recommendations can reflect that meeting alongside the salesperson's existing development evidence.
Kendo AI does not publicly describe equivalent calendar-aware preparation. Its preparation model centers on practicing relevant scenarios and reviewing coaching from past calls ahead of time.
8Pressure Testing
CloseCraft's Pressure Room™ is an Adaptive Sales Simulation designed as performance validation: a timed Face the Buyer conversation that tests whether learning holds when the salesperson faces a pressured buyer. Pressure Room performance also feeds CloseCraft's certification exams.
Kendo AI's roleplays provide realistic practice pressure, but a distinct pressure-testing and performance-validation mode of this kind is not part of its publicly described product.
9Certification
CloseCraft offers completed CloseCraft Certified™ skill certifications — each earned through a knowledge exam plus a Pressure Room™ performance exam — and a completed Sales Professional capstone that integrates multiple skills into one demonstrated performance, designed to validate demonstrated capability.
Kendo AI's progression is expressed through roleplay scores, call scores, and analytics. An equivalent performance certification is not publicly described in its current official material, and this page does not imply one.
10Company / Team Training
For teams, CloseCraft supports company playbook content, AI-generated company lessons, assignments, and Development Paths. Company Skill Validations let a company validate that a salesperson can demonstrate its own selling standard in the Pressure Room™, and Team Performance gives managers visibility into development.
Kendo AI supports teams with team management and permissions, individual and team analytics, custom scorecards, and team coaching based directly on live-call evidence — a manager experience built around reviewing real customer conversations alongside practice performance.
11Integrations
Kendo AI integrates with the tools where sales conversations happen: Zoom, Fathom, Fireflies, and Slack, plus additional integration and API support. For teams already running these platforms, that is a real operational advantage.
CloseCraft's current integration surface is per-user Google Calendar integration, used to inform preparation for upcoming selling conversations.
12Pricing
CloseCraft offers a Free plan, Pro at $9.99/month or $99.99/year, a Teams tier at $199.99/month for up to 5 users (team plans are not yet self-service), and a custom-priced Enterprise tier. Kendo AI lists Pro at $55/user/month, Max at $100/user/month, and Enterprise at custom pricing.

13Who Each Approach May Fit
CloseCraft may fit users looking for:
- individual-first longitudinal development
- persistent salesperson intelligence
- objective-aware coaching
- Calendar-informed preparation
- pressure testing
- demonstrated competency certification
- company learning layered onto personal development
Kendo AI may fit organizations looking for:
- AI practice plus real-call scoring in one system
- voice roleplay
- automated review of customer conversations
- custom scorecards
- call-platform integrations
- team coaching based directly on live-call evidence
Neither approach is universally better. The right choice depends on whether the primary need is a platform that connects practice with real-call evidence, or a development system centered on the salesperson's growth over time.
The Key Difference
Kendo's public architecture strongly connects practice with evidence from real customer calls. CloseCraft's architecture centers on building a persistent model of how the salesperson develops across practice, coaching, preparation, pressure testing, and demonstrated certification.
The distinction is not that one platform adapts and the other does not. Both use performance evidence to improve future development. The difference is the evidence they currently collect and how that evidence is carried through the salesperson's development experience.
Practice → coaching → accumulated evidence → CloseCraft DNA™ · Persistent Coaching Intelligence™ · Sales Trajectory™ · Sales Identity Evolution™ · Your Next Best Action™ → what you practice next
That evidence can influence what the salesperson practices next. Google Calendar context can also inform preparation for upcoming selling conversations. Pressure Room™ then tests whether improvement holds under greater conversational pressure. CloseCraft Certified™ validates demonstrated capability.
